Mayfield Gates
Commercial

Commercial Gates.
Built for the sites that never stop.

Distribution yards, industrial estates, car parks, schools, secure sites. Commercial gates live a hard life. High cycle counts, lorries, weather, people pushing buttons they should not be pushing. We specify, install and service gates that keep the site moving without drama.

Specified for the way the site actually runs

The biggest mistake in commercial gate installs is specifying to the opening size and ignoring the cycle count. A gate that is fine for ten openings a day will melt on a distribution yard doing two hundred. We survey the site, talk to the people using it, count the traffic, and specify motors, control panels and gate structure to match what the site actually does.

We work with site managers, facilities teams, architects and security consultants. If your insurer or a standard like LPS 1175 has a specific requirement, bring it to us during design, not during handover. It is much easier to build in compliance from the start than to retrofit it later.

Cantilever and tracked sliding gates

For commercial sites, sliding gates are usually the right answer. No arc to sweep through, no sagging hinges, and far higher duty cycles than swing gates. We install cantilever gates, where the gate is suspended off rollers with no ground track to collect mud and grit, and tracked sliders where the opening is too long for a cantilever to make sense.

Frames are built heavy. 60mm and 80mm box section for most openings, with mesh or vertical bar infill, galvanised and powder coated in black, anthracite, dark green, or matched to your brand. Up to twelve metres of clear opening in a single leaf.

  • Cantilever sliding gates up to 12m clear opening
  • Double leaf swing gates with 36V brushless or inverter technology motors
  • Rising kerb barriers and arm barriers for car parks
  • Bollards: fixed, removable, automatic and PAS 68 rated

Access control designed around your site

The gate is only half the system. The access control decides who gets through it, when, and what trail is left. We specify keypad entry, proximity fob readers, ANPR number plate recognition, video intercoms back to a reception or security office, and smartphone apps for managers who need to let contractors in without leaving their desk.

Systems can integrate with your existing security platform or run standalone. For sites with multiple gates we design the control network so it can be centrally managed, with logging, scheduled access windows, and contractor codes that auto-expire.

  • Keypad, fob, card and biometric readers
  • ANPR cameras with whitelist and blacklist management
  • GSM intercoms with video to mobile devices
  • Multi-site access control with centralised logging
  • Integration with existing CCTV and security systems
  • Scheduled access, contractor codes, delivery windows

Serviced and supported long term

Commercial gates fail quietly. A motor running slightly out of torque. A photocell gradually misaligning. A control board slowly cooking itself in summer. By the time the gate stops, it has usually been warning you for months. A scheduled service catches those problems before they become a site closure.

Every commercial install comes with an offered maintenance contract. Twice-yearly visits, safety re-testing, consumables replaced, control firmware updated. We also cover gates we did not install, and we will bring older installs up to current safety standards.
