Mayfield Gates
About Mayfield

A workshop,
not a sales office.

Mayfield Gates has been designing and installing bespoke gates across the UK for over 18 years. We started out making one-off steel driveway gates for local homes, and grew into a team that handles commercial access, agricultural estates and bespoke hardwood and aluminium gates.

Our approach

One team.
Start to finish.

We still operate the way a good workshop should. Every project is owned by one person from survey to handover, our steel gates are drawn and welded in-house, and the team on site is the team that managed your job from the first sketch. That makes problems easy to solve and quality easy to hold.

Inside the workshop

Where the quality actually lives.

Steel frames machined, primed and braced in-house, hardwood and aluminium hand-picked from trusted makers. The people quoting your gate are the people who see it through to install.

How we work

Four things we will never compromise on

Workshop first, office second

The workshop is where the quality lives. We manufacture our steel gates in-house and hand-pick the makers for our hardwood and aluminium. Either way, the people quoting your gate are the people who see it through to install.

Honest specifications

If a cheaper motor will be fine for your opening, we will tell you. If a 3mm frame is wrong for a six-metre slider, we will tell you that too. The job has to survive, not just look good on the quote.

Safety is non-negotiable

Every installation leaves with a full risk assessment, a safety file, warning signage and a handover pack. We do not cut corners on safety, and we will bring older gates we did not install up to standard where we can.

We pick up the phone

If something fails, we answer. Service calls come back to the team who built your gate, not a call centre. That is how we have kept most of our commercial clients on annual maintenance for years.

Every project

A process that does not skip any steps.

Whether the job is one pair of driveway gates or a full industrial site, the four stages are the same. It is the discipline that keeps the work predictable.

01

Site survey

A proper visit, not a phone quote. We measure the opening, check the ground, look at power, and talk through how the gate will be used day to day.

02

Design & quote

CAD drawings of the exact gate, finish and hardware. A fixed quote covering manufacture, groundworks, automation and commissioning. No surprises later.

03

Build & finish

Steel gates are cut, welded and finished in our own workshop, galvanised and powder coated in the agreed RAL colour. Hardwood and aluminium gates are made by trusted suppliers and finished to match, with fittings prepped for install.

04

Install & commission

Groundworks, gates hung, motors wired, access control paired, safety-tested and signed off. We walk you through how everything works before we leave.
